Description: | | Our client is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team in a 4-month Contract-for-Hire capacity. The requirements for this position include:
Experience:
· Must have experience building and managing a large project plans, managing risks and executive status reporting, track project budgets
· IT experience managing large enterprise infrastructure projects (ie large datacenter server migrations, virtualization projects etc.)
· Experience managing server deployments, server farms/clusters, SAN Storage, network topology, network security (load balancers, firewalls), application data flow, and SDLC
Project Management
· Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
· Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
· Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
· Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
· Effectively applies established methodology and enforces project standards.
· Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
· Minimizes exposure and risk on project.
· PMP certification preferred.
Project Accounting
· Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
· Manages project budget.
· Analyzes cost and resource utilization.
Cultural:
· Schedule must accommodate managing late-night/off-hour release to production activities
· Must be able to take charge of situations and lead day-to-day issues to resolution
